If you have time to spare theres plenty to do and see in Stirling and the surrounding area.
The Management Centre is itself set in beautiful parkland on the Airthrey Estate with its own loch, cafes, cinema, swimming pool and leisure facilities. The national Wallace Monument is within walking distance, and the city centre is easily reached.
Stirling Castle is Scotland’s second most popular castle. The Old Town is like a walk through history: the Castle and the Church of the Holy Rude, mansions, town walls, graveyards and ghosts. Many key historic events took place in Stirling (those of you who have seen the films Braveheart and Rob Roy will recognise much of the history of the area). At the same time Stirling has all the buzz and cosmopolitan culture that you would expect of a University city.
Stirling is only a 20 minute drive from Edinburgh Airport. Easy to reach by car or public transport. There are shuttle buses from the airport which can take you into Edinburgh where you can catch a train or bus to Stirling. Click here for further details of Edinburgh Airport
You can also reach Stirling via any of the Glasgow airports.
